Author, journalist and blogger, Deana Luchia‘s first novel, God & Dallas, is a story about mothers and daughters, the afterlife and ghosts.
After studying for a Masters in Professional Writing, Deana has just signed with an agent for her first non-fiction title – a guide to human happiness, ‘written’ by a dog.
Her two rescue dogs – Harry and Dottie – are a huge influence. Not only do they listen avidly to read-throughs of drafts, they also make sure she features a canine character in each piece of work. Harry features in the blog: https://oldpawsandtails.wordpress.com/ and has his own Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/yourdogyourlifecoach/
Plans for 2017 include finishing the two new novels she’s been working on: a book about loneliness and a YA novel about an embarrassing Dad; working with her agent to find a publisher for her dog book; and writing more articles and blogs on subjects that move and intrigue her.
Having worked in a number of different countries, Deana is now based in London where her ‘office’ is a dog-strewn sofa and a Mac surrounded by chocolate wrappers. She dreams of living by the sea with her dogs and a small herd of pygmy goats.
