Lu Anne Stewart, based in Tampa, FL, has been writing professionally for more than 30 years in many different roles: newspaper reporter, editor, communications consultant and storyteller. As a fiction writer, she likes to explore human relationships and the enduring bonds of family.
Her short stories include The Sway of Palms, published by the online literary journal Epiphany, and Blurred Vision, included in the 2015 anthology Dating Games edited by Deana Luchia. She is seeking representation for her first novel, The Prodigal Mother, and is currently at work on a new novel set in the idealistic world of small-town journalism in the post-Watergate era of the late 1970s.
Lu Anne, who earned her bachelor’s in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s in journalism from Columbia University, continues to hone her craft through the rigors of fiction-writing workshops and the immeasurable support of wonderful and talented writing friends. Her writing is often inspired by frequent travels with her photographer husband, Richard, to exotic locales, from the mesmerizing antiquities of Istanbul, Turkey to the soothing volcanic springs of La Fortuna, Costa Rica.
